Brewer’s Yeast
Brewer’s yeast is a great source of protein, vitamin B, and minerals. It supports effective hair regeneration and improves the overall condition of hair.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae, or ‘Brewer’s yeast’ as it’s more commonly known, is rich in vitamins and minerals and helps produce microbial proteins. The abundance of B vitamins (B1, B5, B8, B9) found in brewer’s yeast work together to help the body maintain good health – providing energy and promoting healthy skin, nails and hair. Vitamin B is essential for the synthesis of keratin, which is the protein that hair is made from, and helps protect the hair.
The brewer’s yeast used in Hair Divine is lyophilized (freeze-dried), which means more of the active vitamins and minerals are able to be absorbed by the body.
Amino Acids
-
L-Taurine
L-Taurine is an amino sulfonic acid, which occurs in the human body most often and influences the health of organs and tissue. It is an antioxidant stored in hair roots which prevents hair follicles dying out and provides sulphur, which is necessary for hair growth and healthy appearance.
-
L-Cysteine
L-cysteine contributes to protein production and is another healthy antioxidant. It helps build proteins, such as keratin, which is great for general health, but more importantly for the hair. Like Taurine, Cysteine also helps supply the hair cells with sulphur, which keeps hair strong and supports natural growth. Cysteine also binds iron and zinc and together, these minerals support the aversion of hair loss and increase hair strength.
-
L-Leucine
L-leucine is an essential amino acid and is key for muscle metabolism, participating in energy production in cells. A deficiency in L-leucine can lead to poor quality hair growth and hair loss.

Vitamins
-
Vitamin B9
Vitamin B9 is also known as folic acid and is an essential nutrient for the growth of healthy cells in areas of the body such as our hair, skin and nails. Adding folic acid to your diet not only helps improve overall health, but helps nourish hair cells, promoting effective hair growth.
-
Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 nourishes the hair, keeping it shiny and healthy. It helps seal in moisture – preventing dry hair and scalp. It adds shine and softness to the hair.
-
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 helps with general hair health and contributes to reducing hair loss as it helps the hair to retain moisture, leaving it softer and thicker. B6 also soothes the scalp, may reduce dandruff, helps keep the hair cleaner for longer, and can have the ability to suppress the generation of grey hair.

Bamboo Shoots
Bamboo is a popular, eco-friendly nutritional source. It is a sustainable source and is fast becoming a popular micro-nutrient in many beauty, health and medicinal products. Used for its anti-hypertensive, cholesterol-lowering and antioxidant properties, bamboo shoots can also improve hair health in many ways. Bamboo is a high, natural source of silica.
As we grow older our body doesn’t absorb silica as efficiently as when we’re young, so many of us need that extra boost to consume enough silica to grow soft, flexible hair.
Silica can have multiple benefits including:
Stimulating growth
Regenerating damaged hair surface
Reducing hair thinning
Preventing scalp skin damage
Adding shine and softness
